WHAT IS KETAMINE?

Ketamine has been safely used as an FDA-approved anesthetic and pain relieving drug since 1970.

After many studies in recent years, low-dose infusions (sub-anesthetic) of ketamine have been proven to have powerful antidepressant effects, and has become a potent treatment for anxiety, bipolar depression, addictions, eating disorders, OCD and PTSD. Unlike traditional psychiatric medications that treat only the symptoms and are riddled with side effects, Psychedelic therapy functions by opening your consciousness, allowing you to heal the underlying causes from within. These explorative “journeys” or “trips” provide a pathway to new perspectives.

When utilized alongside talk therapy, The healing power of psychedelics is magnified.

Patient Story

“My ketamine IV at Hudson Mind was nothing short of magical. I felt at ease from the moment I walked in the door. The beautiful space had thoughtful details everywhere and the staff went out of their way to make sure I was incredibly comfortable.

The infusion was pleasant and easy, and provided a deep sense of relief from the chaos of daily life. I left feeling like I was on cloud nine. So grateful to Dr. Kuo and his staff for creating such a peaceful experience.”

How It Works

  • Fight or Flight

The Stellate Ganglion nerves coordinate with the central nervous system to produce sympathetic physiological responses, known as the “fight or flight” response

  • Response to Trauma

Trauma exposure can lead to overactive sympathetic reactivity resulting in inappropriate physiological responses in both stress and resting conditions. PTSD symptoms include hypervigilance, irritability, physical tension, and insomnia

  • Reboot

SGB can “reboot” the sympathetic system to a calm state, effectively targeting the hyper-reactivity symptoms of PTSD. By anesthetizing the physiological source of these magnified responses, patients experience rapid and significant symptom relief of even the most severe trauma-related symptoms

  • Gold Standard

Hudson Mind physicians administer a special dual sympathetic reset, double block injections of the SG under X-ray and ultrasound guidance. Our physicians may also utilize Pulsed Radiofrequency Ablations, Oxytocin, or Botox to further extend the effects of the block

What will MY RESULTS LOOK LIKE?

In some patients, a single SGB has been shown to provide immediate symptom-relief that lasts several weeks, if not months or years.
